Hey Jim,

They certainly have some large sharks in the
Aquarium of the Americas in NO(at least they
did when I was there a few years ago).

However, it was probably not a Great White.
Great White's don't do well in captivity. The Monterey Aquarium had a Great White
from September 04 to Mar 05, and at the time
it was the only captive Great White on display
in the world. It was also the first ever to
live for more than 4 weeks in captivity.

I was giving some thought to whether the alligators and snakes create any hazards within the city of NO. Don't know.

Getting back from a trip to NO (NO is a week-end get-away spot for Houstonians), my GF said there was a large Great White shark in the city aquarium. TV news reports mentioned the tanks at the Aquarium were broke and all the fish escaped. No word about the shark however. Makes you wonder.

I am sad about all the bad stuff from the storm, but the images that also bother me are when they show 100's of boats all piled up like garbage.
