these are pretty strong units, might wanna do some inspection prior to buying a new one. Maybe we are talking for something as simple as a loose bolt.
you will need to remove the drivers seat to have a cleat access to the throttle mechanism.

There are some schematics in the reference section.

The mv-2 is no longer availager, the replacement is the mv-3 which works the same way but its has a differect housing etc.

The diffence between the mv-1 and the mv-2 is the housing and the safety collar on the mv2 wich need to be pulled to engage the forward or reverse gear.

I would be extremely surprised if the problem lies in the control itself. There is simply no way for it to become "loose" and still work. I would expect the problem to be in the cables, or the way something is hooked up.

You have an MV2, by the way.

I bought the boat this summer and compared to my past experience driving other boats I think the engine control handle is too loose, I have no accuracy on the handle which is particular annoying when I want to do deep water starts.

The control/throttle cables have been inspected and are fine, therefore I'm assuming the problem has to do with the enginte control handle. That's why I'm looking to replace it.

Hello guys,

I own a SNOB from 1995 and I need to replace my Engine Control.

I've learned that my control model is no longer available, but the replacement model doesn't seem to fit in the upholstery whole.

Does any one know where I can find a new Control Single MV (similar to the picture)

Also, could someone explain me what's the difference between MV and MV2? Is it the same thing? Will the MV2 work for my boat?

Thanks in advance,
Jose
