No, no, it's not my job. It's how I procrastinate from doing my actual job

Oh, just realized, if your looking at your own diary, there is a little text link towards the upper right that says "Modify this Post" Click on that and you can update your diary. You'll have to remember your password though.

I think when you first submit your diary entry, you get an email back from the site with your info. It works a little differently from the the forum login stuff. If you can find that email, it should have the info you need to enter and edit your boat's diary.

ya i did that part (drained block and changed oil, changed trans fluid also0. then i read some more threads on here and many people talked about refiling with rv antifreeze. so i thought hey might keep rust down a bit. so what the heck can't hurt.

i am confident i will not have any issues freezing but was more concerned with the amount it takes to refill it. i would have never guessed 3 gallons, especially without filling the manifolds.

so is this your job?, "bail dumb asses like me out of the muck?" i so appriciate your quick responces and valuable information.

also im headed to florida next week i am going to pick up my new impeller and hopefully go a tour of the factory/show room.

I saw your other post on your antifreeze capacity. I'm not completely sure.

Pete Brainard mentioned in the other thread, that's it's not so much about filling it, but more about getting antifreeze into any low spots that weren't completely drained of water. You want to make sure you undue all the drains, in the block, exhaust manifolds and let the water run out first.

Not sure where all the af winds up going if it's not leaking out anywhere.

One more thing, unrelated, but kinda. I noticed in your diary you have 265 for horsepower.

If you have an Excalibur 330, you have 330 horsepower. The Excal 330 is a 5.7 liter (aka 350 cubic inches) motor.

Not a bad Chevy to have

Lewy, the reason he doesnt know its a Chevy is because there really is never a reason to lift the lid, just hit the key

Bad news Bill it is a Chevy. There is no filter in the trans which is why it is a good idea to do a fluid change regularly.

at the risk of sounding like a total idiot........you said, "on the impeller I´m a ford guy but 35 seems to be the right price". is my engine a ford or Chevy. i thought it was a ford 351. but i have no idea. if not is there any way to tell by looking at it. the only plate has a universal 5.0/5.7 in the one box. it also says "pcm" on most of my paperwork (the paperwork that i had to steal off the internet)

again, thank you

OK thank you,

as for the caps, we only type in caps at work, so it is a bad habit no offence intended.

yes tranny fluid needs to be sucked from the dipstick port, using a pump, big syringe, etc...

on the impeller I´m a ford guy but 35 seems to be the right price

hey and PLEASE DON´T SHOUT! capital looks like you are yelling to us! lol

HELLO TO ALL, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME USING THIS WONDERFUL RESOURCE.

I HAVE A 06 SN SPORT WITH AN EXCALIBUR 330 ENGINE. IN READING MOST OF THE POSTS REFENCE WINTERIZATION, MOST FOLKS TALK ABOUT CHANGING THE TRANS FLUID. I HAVE LOOKED AT THE TRANS A LITTLE BUT I CAN NOT FIND A "PLUG OR HOSE" TO DRAIN THE FLUID. AM I MISSING SOMETHING? DO I NEED TO SUCK THE FLUID OUT THROUGH THE DIP STICK PORT? SO FAR, I FEEL I CAN HANDLE ALL THE OTHER ASPECTS OF THE TASK OF WINTER PREP, BUT THIS ONE HAS ME STUMPED.

ALSO ANY IDEAS WHERE A GUY CAN PURCHASE THE IMPELLER I NEED. MOST PLACES SEEM TO WANT $35. IS THAT A GOOD PRICE. I HAVE THE DRAWINGS OF THE RWP AND THE PARTS LIST.

BTW WE LIVE IN NORTHERN IDAHO SO WE GET SOME COLD WEAHTER UP HERE. ALSO I BUILT A "FAKE A LAKE" YESTERDAY, I AM EXCITED TO TRY IT. IT WAS PRETTY EASY AND ONLY COST $13 TOTAL.

IT IS SO NICE TO BE PART OF SUCH AN IN DEPTH FORUM. I APPRECIATE ALL YALL'S INPUT AND KNOWLEDGE.

THANK YOU.
