Yes it did. My home owners insurance covered the claim. I have to say I was expecting a "run around" from Commerce but they really were great.

So it has been a while but I am finally putting the finishing touches on the boat. With the help of many of you here I was able to locate a new windshield, a used dash pod, and tips / instructions for repairing.. this site really is a great resource. I am going to attach some pictures of the repair as it progressed.
The used pod (purchase through Nautique Skins) needed some work. It was cracked in the usual places. I used the Permatex 84101 epoxy to repair. I put one coat on while it was curing I overlaid a piece of fiberglass mesh. I then put another coat of the epoxy over that.

Jeff,
Do you have the dash pod off yet? If so, can you send me some better pictures(inside and out)?

It would be pretty easy to fix the cracks around the lower screw holes. Little glass and epoxy. Color the epoxy even. My pod on my SAN is the same way. Just have never got around to fixing it.

Ed, Yes, If you could find more info on the ABS sheets that would be great...   I was really holding out hope of finding a new dash pod somewhere but I am really not finding anything. The used pod at Christine's has the usual cracks by the thumb screws. I think that may be my best option right now. That really sucks though because before the tree my pod was perfect. I am getting an estimate of having a pod made of carbon fiber... but I really wanted to keep the boat looking original. If anyone else has any other leads or ideas please share...

Thank you everyone for your well wishes.... I have started a claim with my insurance company. So it looks like I can get the windshield and frame from Nautiqueparts.com... I am still going to look for a new dash pod but I will also reach out to Nautiqueskins.. Again, thank you everyone! I will post pics of the boat after repair.
I always hated that damn tree! Jeff

Wow, that really could have been worse. Looks like a windshield, maybe a dash pod, a few minutes with a shop vac and you're good to go!

Hope you're cleaning up ok down there.

Sorry, that does suck, but it looks like your ski mirror may have made it at least no damage to the fiberglass.

Sorry to see that Jeff. That really stinks. You might try Pete up at MacCallums. He can probably help you out. Good luck with it.

Bummer, I hope it is insured, that will be expensive.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

My 1999 was damaged by a large tree limb that fell during yesterday's storm in New England. The driver's side windshield glass, upper windshield frame, and dash pod were damaged. Any thoughts on where I can get replacement parts?
