Great work Pete, I know your a true wood guy
 but Mdf has its place  matched in real well

Roger,
The idea of making reproduction cast iron out of NDF is catching on over here too! The art Deco base pictured is from OWWM.com for a Walker Turner band saw. The restorer could find one so he made it. There are several others that have done the same.
