Try a sawsall with a long blade. Just be careful not to cut through the hull.

If you're anything like me, it's best to walk away when that face appears. Don't forget your tyvek suit and respirator. |

A grinder with a metal disk(composite) or a diamond disk works great for cutting right at the seam. If you have air tools, you can keep the 'dust' to a minimum with a little water.

yes, approx 1/4 inch higher on drivers side front to back.i decided to start tearing apart with stringers level.let the motor mounts compensate.man, these stringers suck to get out.trying to take out drivers side secondary, wood is in very good condition at hull and does not want to give up.

Not to worry Brian; most times it's me being slow. Tim got it.
Is the 1/4" out on the same side? |

I agree with Tim. If the mains are level fore to aft and side to side, one has a standard to work back to. I'm not entirely sure I follow level at deck and dash.

If youre level at the stringers but not at the deck, sounds like one or the other was installed crooked? Id be inclined to try and figure out which was correct, unless its only off a little bit. The goal is to get the boat level to a point where you can verify that your new parts (stringers) are level as you assemble the boat back together. If youre off a little, its not a huge deal, as the motor mounts will absorb a decent amount of variation.
