Tom,
I would think there is no need to change them unless you are seeing signs of leakage. Keep the flushing up, that salt water is harsh on them. |

I have a 5.7 L PCM 343 in my SN with 225 hours on the clock and the boat is on a trailer under cover when not in use. The boat operates in salt water but is meticulously cared for and is thoroughly flushed out following each time the boat is used. Can anyone advise if periodic replacement of the exhaust riser gaskets is required and if so how often should this be done? A friend suggested replacing the gaskets every year to prevent water getting into the motor/oil.
