now the following is my cospiricy theory so take it for what it is and where it comes from.

Newt has worked with Reagan and Clinton and both parties in the senate and congress. He has a proven record of getting things done. He scares the democrats, and the republicans are scared of him. The media stepped up to knock him down for the benefit of the dems who really want Romney as the nominee. They feel confident they can neat him when they wring out his record. They are giving Ron Paul enough following to make him comfortable breaking off and splitting the republican / independent vote again helping Obama. Santorum, Huntsman and Perry will not go far enough to become a real threat.

Newt has the most expierience of how to get things done in Washington. We all know the President can make all the promises he wants and may truely want to change how Washington works but that hasn't worked for the past few Presidents from either party.

We have been media blasted into voting for the suit, not whats in it. We like the fit, good looking, charismatic canidate, but they are not what is needed. They all have baggage, issues, and agendas. The trick is to see pat the smoke & mirrors and see whats standing there. ($.02)

Didn't watch it. Did they give Ron Paul more than 2 minutes of speaking time this go round?

As opposed to the guy who came up through Chicago politics that you voted for?

I am going to forgive Mitt for taking his endorsement. Afterall, what can he say, "No thanks". That would be rude, and may offend both of McCain's supporters

I am hearing loud rumblings that some Dems want to replace Obama with Hillary at the top of the ticket. Good lord, even they know Obama is nothing more than a slick politican.

I have kinda lost touch. Newt is my guy. I think he would grab the world in after a debate with Obama. They all got some kinda luggage, but far as when Newt speaks you listen. More sincere and from the heart. I like Romney but dont trust him. But I am with some of the others, why some are still hanging around I have no clue...

BTW Newt was with Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton and will know how to work with both parties when it is vitally important.

On a more serious note; ABC should be ashamed.

Gotta say, I do like Newt. He is extremely knowledgable, and can take it to the media at will when none of the other guys will. Also have to say that they all looked pretty good tonight, well, except uh, well, you know....

All in all, be it Newt, Romney or Santorum, hopefully the American people can see through Barry's razzle dazzle and rope a dope shuffle, and vote their concience to get the country moving in the right direction again. All the candidates made great comments tonight about the big picture of where we are headed and how they would change things.

I was thinking of taking them snipe hunting...wanna help?

He also has a high level of understanding things.

I think Romney will be the guy, and we'll end up with another 4 years of BO. Newt is the guy to go up against him, and my clear choice of whom I'd like to have run things. Wish in one hand, right?

Okay, so I had to tune it to the debate. The ABC moderators are totally fixated on issues such as gay marriage. Don't we have bigger issues to discuss such as the CRIPPLING national debt?

I will say one thing for Newt, he took it right to the moderators and dressed them down. Okay, now we return it you to the debates....

Not really into watching the debate tonight. Romney's my guy. Not sure why Huntsman is still hanging around. Newt seems to be sinking fast.

By the way, would someone PLEASE tell Rick Santorum to stop wearing those damned sweater vests! He must have three of every color
