I don't have a generator or regulator on the motor thats why I'm looking for a replacement or to convert to a altenator.
Were do I find "Correctcraftparts" ?? I looked here on this site and don't see it. I googled it and only found "mycorrectcraftparts" and there wasn't anything there.....

checker3, you can purchase the "one wire " from Karen. I also have an OEM gen. w/ regulator or an OEM Prestolite alt. w/ regulator. CorrectCraftParts has all these READY TO SHIP....Billy

This is why it's always a good idea to keep the same subject in the same thread and the reason I mentioned that.
I made the same mistake and thought he was just looking for a replacent but evidently he doesn't even know what was on the 170 originally.

Bill,
The owners manual may give you a clue on what Eaton was on the engine from Interceptor.

Bill,
The most common if you do not want to keep it original is to go with a one wire alternator. They are grouped in frame sizes so if you get the same, it will fit.

Remind me here - you are missing the original?

BTW, it's best to keep all your posts on the same subject in the same thread!

Where are the pictures of the boat?
