Well, at least Laurie doesn't have to worry about getting sucked into the ZDDP debates. I'm pretty sure that motor has roller lifters.

WHEW!!! I thought it was that time of year for the big oil debate! at least the oil debate would be a welcome change to the "Price of Gas" topic. That thing is trending to beat the "learning to Barefoot" and "Interesting Crag's List" topics.

It's always safe to go by "the book"!! I don't understand your concern about the 15-40 being diesel rated?? Do you understand that a diesel rated oil actually has stricter standards?

BTW, oil's are not a major contributor of air emissions.

I maybe wrong here but I been told straight weights are best. 4Ow on the new pcm will be fine. Hope this helps..

guys

I have new PCM 2011 engine 5.7 ltr

book says use 15 w 40 GF 4 /SM But cant get hold

I can get CHEVRON DELO GOLD...15 W 40 API CH 4 / SL....is says also Diesel on the can

Is this good to use. we have no emissions where i live

tx guys for yr help
