easiest thing to do is remove the cable from the carb, then just actuate the throttle by hand. If there is gas in the bowl and the pump is working it should give you a shot each time you pull the throttle plates open from the linkage.

I have a Holley 4160. Can you explain how I move the accelator pump so I can see if fuel squirts out?

What carb we talking about here?
The common carb on a 1985 SN would be a vacuum secondary carb with one accelator pump. The pump is what does squirting, nothing else should cause gas to move when the engine isnt running and pulling air over the venturis. if you are manually moving the throttle then that pushes the pump, if you are then just opening the vacuum secondaries there shouldnt be a pump shot |

I am sitting my car port and I pulled off the flame arrestor. I put the throttle to 100 % throttle. When I manually click the secondaries, should fuel be squirting in the bowls or should no fuel be squirting?
