The only time I know if a picture is in my file manager is, after forgetting, I go to post it and it tells me. Then not allowing me to post the picture with the same name, I have to go back and change the name in my computer! Yes, I believe it was Randy that figured out how to pull existing pics out of the file manager but not being the computer geek like he is, I sure couldn't follow the process!

^^exactly^^
When uploading pics to this site, they go to some sort of file manager, so theyre always available to post and re-post... but good luck gaining access to it. It sure would be nice to be able to tell what youve already got sitting in there- but I havent figured out how (I suspect you cant, at least not the way the forums are currently set up). I use the same trick as Brian when I reuse a picture. |

Another way to do it is {IMG}http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/uploads/6518/Protec_Puck.jpg{/IMG}
Then, change all the "{"s to "["s and all the "}"s to "]"s The thing I've found tricky, is getting the exact web address to a picture I've already loaded, just by looking at my file manager. If I want to re-use something, I always have to find it in the first (or any) thread that I posted it in already. |

No, just go to "post Reply". If you are starting a new thread, the picture upload icon comes up there too |

Thank you for your patience! It sounds like I have to start a post and then reply to it to include and or post a picture.

Dave,
Try this: First, use the "post reply" and not the "quick reply". You'll see an icon of a tree with an up arrow. Click it and you will get a browse window allowing you to select off your computer. One caution and the reason I mentioned photobucket - Your pictures may need downsizing. Even if the site takes them, they may be too large for the sites screen size. We discourage that since the picture then requires the viewer to scroll from side to side. |

Just post them in a thread. They will automatically go to your file manager.
If they need re sizing, the better and easier way is to use a on line photo hosting site like photobucket. |

I uploaded two JPG files to file manager. How do I get the pictures included in a new post?
