no problem Pete, I talk to him every couple days, just got off 25 straight days and sent that ferry north after sea trials, thank god, if i never hear "AYE" again i will be a happy man..their bill i would imagine is in the 250k range.
if he could come up with a pic it should easily be identifible, all the guts are the same through the years, its the case that may be different. sounds as if he may have planetary shaft wear in the drum and they are rattling |

Tell Vince to expect a call from a ACBS friend of mine Eric Moberg. Eric has a 1958 Streblow with a Cal Cadillac (of course original) hooked up to a Paragon hydraulic. He was googling and ran across you and I talking about Paragons here on site. It must have been a pretty old thread because he read where you had way back worked for them. You may have to help Vince on this one?? Eric has talked to several companies about it but none had ever heard of the model!
He's getting plenty of planetary noise/rattle plus a dirty neutral and when hot a time lag to forward engagement. And no, the rattle is not a damper - The Cal Cadillac's were flywheel forward and the trans was directly coupled to the engine. |
