I agree with Jeff on the Velvet. I also agree on the recommendation to send it over to FF, for a rebuild.

I believe it should be a Borg Warner Velvet Drive 71C, if I am wrong someone will be along shortly to correct me. If you need someone to rebuild it get in touch with Eric @ FFM.

Hello Everyone! Hope your all well.
Introducing myself and making my first CCfan post. I am thankful that sites like this and their members exist! I am a boat newb and if it does not have a keyboard I will struggle with trouble-shooting and fixing it :) I have a 1987 CC Ski Nautique 2001. It has a PCM 351w. I am seeing transmision fluid in the bilge and can see where it is leaking from. I was hoping to order a rebuild kit from Skidim,So that my more mechanical savvy family members could assist me with the repairs. e.g. http://www.skidim.com/departments.asp?dept=1098 http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RK173058 The problem is that I am not sure what transmission I have. The identification plate seems to be missing. I have attached some pictures taken from my mobile (All I had, sorry not the best). I circled the leak in red. Do any of you know what transmission my boat has? Any information or assistance will be appreciated. Thanks! |
