   Thanks for the input on all accounts.  I didn't realize the difference between wakeboarding and ski models.  Now I have a better sense for what I am looking for and what questions I should be asking.  Thanks!

	Or you could learn to ski and really enjoy the wake the 196 offers. Seriously, Correct craft makes multiple models for a reason. They call the ski boats ski nautique and the wakeboard boats air nautique. If your gonna spend the money why not look gfor the right boat, They're out there.

	I'd agree. A sport would be the perfect boat given his usage/load and price point. Hey Hans, check this Sport out: http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forsale/details.asp?ID=6324&sort=&pagenum=1 It says Air Nautique, but that's what Correct Craft called this vintage of Sport's when a tower and ballast tanks were spec'd out. I have this exact same boat, one year newer..... Tons of room for folks and gear and a good wake.

	93-97 Sport Nautique with a tower. No reason to have a ski nautique if all you do is WB.

	You're probably talking about a Model Year 2001, given the engine choice. With the tower, you could do everything you want to do, except the wake wouldn't be ideal. With the Ski Nautiques, as the model years get newer, the wakes get smaller for the most part. A 250 pound person is no problem to pull with a boat like this. You'd feel him a bit making hard cuts from the tower, but that is true of any boat.

	Hmmm....4 folks on the boat and one on the rope. Where do the extra two folks sit and not get in the way of the rope? I'm not a wake boarder...rope on a tower high enough to put folks on the back seat? If so, good, since you're going to want the weight back there. These small ski boats can easily operate in 3+ feet of water, unless you have really over loaded it. You'll notice a big person on the rope, especially with the extra weight on board, but it's manageable with the right driver and with some experience. These boats have plenty of power and torque. Lots of folks love the wake of the 2001 when properly weighted, as there has been plenty of discussion, so take a look at some of the threads. A big issue with these boats is wood floors and wood stringers (they ROT). Everything else can be fixed relatively easy and quickly, with money of course. But floors and stringer take a ***************-load of time. Boats from '94 on are all fiberglass and you can easily get that year or later in your price range. 	Hi. We are considering transitioning from a two waverunners towing/hauling a wakeboarder to a boat for a number of reasons. However, I have some questions about choosing the right boat. Here is my situation. Typical load: Me, Wife, Brother, Wife, Friend for a total of 780lbs. We wake board 2x a weekend for a couple of hours each time. Boat will be on a lift behind the house. We are all recovering competitive snowboarders and cyclists so we want a better wake and more stable platform for a host of reasons. Today, I saw a 2001 19-6 with 310hp and a tower. Our budget is less than $15k for the boat. 1. Is the 19-6 enough of a boat for the load? 2. How much water does the boat need to get on plane? 3. One of us is 250lbs, how badly will that person pull the boat around? 4. Will the boat have a sufficient wake for catching some air? 5. What are the major issues I should look for on this model boat as I inspect it for purchase? Thanks in advance, Hans
