Finally getting back to this. I still need a starbord side replacement and the original is completely rusted through. I can't find any really good pics of my bad trailer, but this one gives you a taste. It's very rusty and the runners/sliders (duct tape over worn out carpet) from the previous owner are looking really ratty. 2013 needs to be the year for trailer repair.

I doubt it!! The last time Matthew was on site was when he posted his post about the guide on's. |

Matthew, If you ever come back for a visit, it sounds like your trailer is in need of some TLC!! How about some pictures? There are several threads on trailer restoration. Sandblasting and paint is the way to go. Most call the poles "guide-on's". Cut the rubber off and weld it back on. |

Not exactly sure what the correct name is, but I need a rear starbord side bumper/guide for my CC trailer. The boat is a 69 CC Mustang and although I've read posts where people are talking about trailer #2, #3, etc., all I know is it's a trailer for my 16' CC. I also know the trailer is from the mid 80's. The original side bumper rusted off on one side.
In case what I'm looking for still isn't clear, it's the relatively tall 4-5' pole with a black ruberized coating that helps get the boat on the trailer straight. |
