One closest to the engine centerline comes from the lake, one on the outboard side, goes to the thermostat housing.

Manual for my 89 talks about PL from cooler to intake then out to t- stat. PR engines should be reverse.

Hey fellas,
I made a rookie mistake in ordering 1k worth of parts from skidim, and pulling basically everything off the motor at once because I couldn't wait til the parts ot here to start monkeying around. (88 BFN, 454) Now I am scratching my head as to the inlets on the impeller housing. I "think" that the outer inlet goes up to the thermostat housing, and the inner one is the fresh water intake side, but I need to double check before I hook her up backwards and fry my shiny new impeller. (And shiny old engine) Can someone have a look at their 454 for me? |
