If you are in ct try ace automatic transmissions in Torrington.   Geoff can help you out there.

Per Eric, Vince knows everything he did so, I'd still recommend having FFM do the work.

Others are sure to chime in, but my understanding is he sold the business to his right hand man Vince, still called Fantastic Finishes. I sent my 1.23 PCM for a rebuild, I got it back a few weeks ago. It is still in the box, but it looks brand new. When I finally get around to getting it back in (still reconstituting the spare parts budget for a ARE shaft) I expect to get another quarter century or better out of it. For comparisons sake, total plus shipping was about $1200 (required a little more work than usual I am told, most are probably more like $1000). A "new" one from SkiDim is about $1800 (I honestly don't know new means, but I assume a newly manufactured never before installed transmission). Hopefully I will be able to give a performance report this summer.

Hey guys, was reading up on the forums and saw that Eric is busy with a tugboat project till around April, but I was looking to send my tranny out in plenty of time to get it back in before the Spring. Is there anyone else that you guys use that's close to as reputable? I'm in CT, already have the tranny out of the boat and ready to send.

Thanks!
