small fabric tears

We did 1"-2" with pretty good success,considering I'm not a pro. It will have to be done in a couple of steps though. If the rip is too long, there is a backing you put under the tear first. Then your color over the entire rip. The heating process would probably have to be done in a few steps; depending on the rip. Just follow the instructions that come with the kit. It's pretty straight forward. The worst that can happen is your out eight bucks. If you take time to blend the colors you shouldn't be able to tell there was a rip. the back up is VERY important for a longer tear.   

I went to Wall-mart for a vinyl repair kit. Made by permatex. Fleet and Farm has them also. The kit is easy to use and does work. The hardest part is matching your color. If you take it slow, even that isn't too bad. Take your time. I think it's around eight bucks or so.
