well...I know I have been remiss about getting a few pics up of our little mini-mini at Norris so here goes...

Christmas in July with the C/CFaners: me Bill Gary Tom HW Megan Dan Gene Scott

me and my 2 personal mechanics..Eddie and son Dennis..

'World Famous Barefoot Cove'-2013..

we all know this handsome lad..

Blackburns chillin in the cove..

I am sure I am telling Gary how to do 'something'..in the background you can see the reason Gary is buying a gun..lovely daughter..

me & greatgrandson Jayden..gee the sun makes my hair look..white..

Eddie "the poppers are not hot"...me "huh?'

we had a great time with the Blackburns..kyTom & Karen..HW & Jackie and jackiedeen & Debra. Spent a couple fine mornings on Tom's sweet BFN trying to help Karen step-off. Sorry Jackie that the day you arrived was also the day our grand-daughter and great-grandkids were there. But it was awesome sharing this special place with some of our C/CFaners.

Was there nothing available at Hickory Star on the 26th and 27th?? Big Ridge is a ways from where we will all be..particularly if you do not know the lake. I'm sure my bro' will catch this post also....I'll be going over to Hickory Star in the morning [5 min' boat ride] for breakfast and I'll double check the room/trailer availability.

Hey JBear,
July 20-23 lost out to Green Lake.
However, the folks at Big Ridge State park set me up up reservations for the nest weekend, 26-27. i hope you remember me as the sick 75 SN down at St. Johns and several futale attempts at White Lake. However, it actslike it knows what to do now. My wife and I plan on landing at the park around 7 or 7:30ish Friday noght and not pull out until Sunday P>M> IAughtNaught, my son, won't male this one, but I am looking forward to seeing some top notice skiing and make a few new friends.

Reserved cabin space today! 7/24 to 7/28. Fantastic water, great company to be had. Here's a link to our vacation at Norris in 2011, can't wait to get back. Norris Vacation.

Looks to be somewhat on my way to a show in Charlotte the week following GL. Maybe I'll drop the Promo with you on my way to Charlotte. I'm free after the 25th of July....

Would you mind babysitting the boat for a few days?

I can assure you that John and I will "babysit" the Promo with great care....we have references...check with jmurph!!

Bill:

Happy to share a cold drink and just sit and stare at the engine...... tha's what I do now! Finally got the front figured out. (You know, they put them in backwards in the 91 BFNs?) - Ha!

Happy to host any traveller........ sounds like a fun time on the water....   Steve

Steve: Thanks for the generous invite but my drive is straight down I71 and I75....and trust me....John and I are probably the last two guys you would ever want to "wrench" on the BFN!! At first read I thought your post said "wretch"...meaning your back/body out behind the BFN, and that we could surely be of help!!

John, Bill and Company:

Anyone travelling to and from Norris Lake is welcome to stop by. If your travels take you along I-81 and near Roanoke, VA...... There's a place for you in town with us (near the highway) or at the lake at our place - (I could use some wrenching done on the Barefoot)!

Either way, safe travels - Ya'all are welcome if passing through!

Looks like we'll miss you by a week or so. We'll be there 7/6 through 7/13. My family loves Norris Lake. This will be our 4th year in a row that we spend a week there. We have been staying near LaFollette on the other side of Powell Valley Marina.

My dad Gene and I Scott would like to thank Joe and his dad Bruce for inviting use into there home for the weekend, it was very rewarding to tare apart the commander, dig in, and prep the old engine block for the GT40P upgrade, heads, roller rockers edelbrock performer intake, and new holley carb. Joe was a great teacher and a big help, just a few snags that did not hold use back. The results where more than we expected, can't wait to get her out and run her a little before the Tenn trip. Thanks again Joe for all your help and hospitality. post more pics if you have any!
Always be ready for a run, the water does not wait for you!

The "good" water will be everywhere...jbear will be already on site as of the 18th and I'll be a 2 minute ride across the lake from Hickory Star. You picked a good weekend....I believe the 20th is customer appreciation day at Hickory Star; free food, beer, music, etc. They always wait until our arrival for this so we don't miss out.

You boys making this Ga. boy salivate. Even the talk of my "old" job site on Geauga Lake. I was water front director for Tommy Bartlett. Now a days I want to it as many CCFan gatherings that I can. I mean with the caliber of people like JBear, Hollywood, and the like, it is a good time waiting to happen. The skiing would be awesome. And I am fairly close. Maybe see some of you there.

Unfortunately Sea World in Aurora, OH is no more. There is a small waterpark in the location.   When Sea World closed, it was a big economic loss for the city of Aurora. Our veterinary practice used to employ many of the Sea World employees during the off season.
We will be in Norris Aug 9-16th and staying near big creek about a mile from one of the slalom courses.

normally this would be correct 'cause my brother would kill me but since you are from the home of SeaWorld Ohio Jeff and a veternarian (love dogs) I will share the info that you should look for Crooked Creek on your lake map..just past island F.

We will be there till the 2nd or 3rd of August Chris..
