The subject of hull cleaners has come up again. I know you were doing some testing. Any conclusions?
Mark was testing using acid type hull cleaners on one section of his hull and none on another section and I believe waxing both. The thought (and I agree) is using the acid does degrade/etch the gel surface and the staining comes back quicker. We both boat on water with lots of tannin in it which stains hulls a orange color. I have used the acid and although not as scientific as Mark's testing seem to notice it does come back quicker. |
