Mine are both at what appears to be 1"3/4".
Would think that putting them both at that offset is correct. Even them up for better "eye appeal" also. Good to have a little wiggle room up front too.

The offset does not matter.

I am preparing to strip down the bow stop assembly this a.m. and have a question concerning putting it all back together (note that I will be drilling new holes for the assembly hardware before coating the wood with CPES). Here is the port side bow stop:

Here is the starboard side bow stop:

From the front:

And, I think most importantly, from the top:

Now to my question, it appears (at least to me) that the port side is the "factory" set up and that the starboard side was replaced by a prior owner. As it is now (see the photo shot from the top view), the port side is offset some 1 3/4" from the bow stop mast, while the starboard side is offset only 3/4." Question: Should I leave the spacing/offset the same as it is now our should I make it even ... both set at 1 3/4"—my question concerns how the SN will load and ride on the trailer (I am recovering the existing bunk boards). Thank you ... and I hope this will be my last question for a bit!!!

Oh yes, a pic of my new boards:
