The center of the windshield frame is actually a pivot built into the aluminum extrusion. This allows the angle of the two frames to be adjusted slightly so the bottom frame fits the deck exactly. I'd force some black silicone into the joint from both sides near the top. Wipe off the excess and you won't see it's in there.

I was not able to check the bolts this weekend. The gasket seems to still be in place. The windshield is tight and firm at the base, it's just at the center top point of the windshield where it's loose.

They may "seem" loose but, have you tried tightening them? There's also a thin rubber gasket under the frame. Is it still there?

On my 77 Nautique where the windshield comes together at the middle support is loose. The bolts under the dash that hold the windshield on seem to all be tight. Is there something else that would tighten up the windshield where it comes together in the middle? I don't want to take the windshield off if there is no way to tighten it up.
Thanks. |
