Darren on a centre mount GT40 there are some extra earths on the passenger side at the back of cylinder head. These are the earths for the ECM and other engine components. I assume the Vdrive and centre would have the same GT40 engine wiring harness.
The main earth from battery is on drivers side bell housing as mentioned. The dash earth comes via the 10 way harness plug at engine and at the dash. Give both sides of the harness plugs a clean and coat with some dielectric grease. The dash wiring is just crimp connectors check all the ground wires at the crimps. Remove any suspect crimps with soldered connections and heat shrink. |

Not sure how different a 99 is to an 01, but I just cleaned mine recently. I believe there is a wiring diagram out there for your dash if needed.
Two on the bell housing at 11 and 2 One on the starboard engine crate Dash gets ground from wiring harness Clean terminals in dash Good luck |

Anyone able to point me to the grounds in my boat so I can give them a clean. I'm having a few twitchy guage needles.
