You possibly could have had a glass one at some point and the PO broke it, so he went with a plastic.
You also might just be missing a bracket that holds the window down. |

Gary,thanks for the reply and the pic. My window is plastic so no center support. Looks like something was mounted near there, I will know more once I start sanding.
Its a ton of fun learning more about this classic beauty, but in this case in the words of Roseannrossannadana, Nevermind! |

Bill if your windshield is plastic you will not have one,if it's glass it would have fallen off because it's 2 pieces of glass and that is the center support and mount.

In all the pictures I see the 68 CC Mustang has a center bar or stiffener that seems to be missing on mine. I would like to replace this part! Condition is not important.
