   So, basically, whenever those breakers are on, they trip pretty fast?

The fact that it trips both the auto and the manual, is actually a good thing, because it pretty much points to a short to ground within the pump, or where the wiring connects to the pump.

I guess the first thing to do is make sure the positive"s"(One for auto and one for manual) aren't touching the ground wire near the pump, or anywhere else for that matter but the area near the pump would be suspect.

I'd disconnect the wiring from the pump, noting how it connects.  Then, be sure to keep the wire ends from touching one another.  Then, turn the breaker or breakers on again.  If they don't trip, with the pump connected, then you can pretty much say the pump is shorted internally.

	All- With all the rain in the Carolina's of late it seems as though my bilge pump(s) want to test my patience and keep tripping the breaker(s) - both the automatic and the manual breakers after approximately 15 seconds of operation. I have never had this issue before but suspect that one of the rain dumps perhaps may have found it's way where it wasnt supposed to. Any thoughts or suggestions on where to start the search would be appreciated. Note that all other breakers are functioning as they should.
