I would guess that the PCM engine manual located in our reference section would apply to a Supra.
Get a digital voltmeter, about $15. Takes the guesswork out of electrical diagnosis. |

Haha, the site is looking normal again!
And, Another now proud supra owner! Ok, so, can you post an image of your engine setup? Supra switched over to pure HO motors when they redesigned their boats for the 1990's and I have seen some 89's with a crossover HO setup, such as the dual 3.5" exhaust into the muffler on the back of the motor but not the HO motor, just the power plus Also, is that the open bow comp? It looks small just like the comp only open bow. Boy, I hope your boat doesn't like doing the nose "dive" |

It really all starts with the battery and a properly wired and functioning ignition system, then fuel. Suck squeeze bang blow says baitkiller.
Step 1: find a local CCFan member and spend an afternoon going over the engine's electrical, fuel and cooling system. Search the Diaries for Oklahoma entries and get emailing. Attend a reunion not if, but as soon as you can, it will greatly advance your learning curve and you'll likely make life long friends. I just attended my first CCF wedding this past Saturday! I even lived with one for a short while. Forum members OkieBoarder and form&function are Oklahoma residents with Supra owner experience. Step 2: Take pictures and post them up! Step 3: Use Google for searching, something like "blah blah site:correctcraftfan.com/forums". The search function here isn't all that reliable. Step 4; 8122pbrainard can be harsh and I'm occasionally an *************** but be patient and if you put in the effort all your issues can be solved with the knowledge here. It truly is the best source for all inboard ski boat information. Supras are good boats, my neighbor just got a big block Bravura, very cool boat! Welcome and good luck. |

Proud new (new to me) owner of a 1989 supra conbrio
Any and all information about this boat is appreciated. Right now I am in the midst of doing a tune up and general cleanup of the boat. Trying to get all of my switches replaced, engine starting consistently, and beautification of the vessel. I have multiple issues but so far, they all seem somewhat easy to fix. I have had the boat out on the water once, only to get towed back due to my battery dying. 2nd boat launch didnt go as smoothly. Started once, died, and I couldnt get her going again. At this point I know I need more information about my boats setup. Engine, tranny, general knowledge that google cant seem to pinpoint. I need lots of small things like window latches, various rusted parts for the engine replaced, and a users manual. Does anyone know a place where I can buy a good manual for this boat? The boat has a 351 windsor from pleasurecraft. I've never owned a direct drive boat and have a few small items I need to acquire. Please message me with any and all offers. I do have paypal and have an ebay acct that shows good standing. I am in the market for any and all items boat related. Tips and advice are surely welcomed. Current projects: 1. get the boat to run again - major tune up(wouldnt start last go around) 2. rewire the dash cluster and gain access to all isntalled options (ballasts, blowers, bilge, lights, etc) Future projects: 3. replace wake tower and/or remount with proper wake tower hardwares (previous owner used fencing material to mount a sportster out of a seadoo ...pretty rickety too) 4. wrap the entire boat 5. replace the entire Kicker system with Memphis audio 6. replace the holly carb with something better 7. tint the windows and replace all window brackets There are many other things for me to do but for now, these are the highest on the agenda. |
