Ditto to what Bob says. Always have kept mine clipped up on the engine and never had a problem in any of my 6 C/C's. You'll like the hose. Makes draining the crank easy. Actually, draining the crank is one of my favorite jobs, now that I think of it.

2)Yes it is. I keep my hose clipped up high on the side of the engine away from moving and hotstuff. It sure makes oil changes easy and every time I open the motor box I can see it and check it out. |

I'm looking at picking up this oil drain kit from Ski Dim. I have a couple of questions though.
1) I've got the 454, any idea if the 1/2 in plug will fit my pan? I emailed Ski Dim, but haven't gotten a response yet. 2) Is it basically just a hose w/a cap on the end? A friend expressed concern that since oil is always in the hose if the hose wears through or gets a crack and leaks then you lose oil and engine no worky. Thoughts? |
