On my 78 Correct Craft American Skier I dropped over $1,500 in parts (no labor) to repair the log strike damage to the prop / shaft / coupler / strut / rudder / shaft log / fiberglass work / PSS upgrade / etc. etc. I would do the double taper if you can . I didn't and wish that I would have . There is no cheep fix to the underside of an inboard ski boat .

Thee guys have everything you need. Struts Don't forget to buy new cutlass bearings too.

Is the strut too bent to have straightened?

The double taper shaft has a tapered coupler, you can't reuse the old coupler.

I have a friend, no really, who needs a shaft, strut, and coupler for a really nice American Skier he picked up late last year. Would it be worth going aftermarket with a double taper shaft? Is there a replacement strut available? Can the coupler be used on a double taper?
This project can't be a bank breaker. And advice would be appreciated.
