Based on the Correct fuses thread, I'm planning to try these fuse values:
Nav Lights -- 10A (blank) -- Anchor Light? -- 10A Pump -- 2A Blower -- 6A Ignition -- 20A |

While we're waking this thread up... did anyone ever figure out if these are the right amperage ratings for the panel fuses on a 1984 SN?
Nav Lights -- 10A? (blank) -- what is this, Anchor Light? -- 10A? Pump -- 2A? Blower -- 6A? Ignition -- 20A? |

Does anyone have the fuse info for a 78 SN? I am not sure if it the same as the 84. Thanks.

Hi Don,
Thanks for the reply. Our 84 has these five fuses, left of the steering wheel, top to bottom (I'm listing the fuse ratings that I'm guessing are right, based on the 85-86 diagram; I don't know if those amp ratings are correct): Nav Lights -- 10A? (blank) -- what is this, Anchor Light? -- 10A? Pump -- 2A? Blower -- 6A? Ignition -- 20A? I was guessing that the blank might have been the anchor light, but maybe the Nav Lights fuse covers front and back--I'll have to check when I get through the other issues we're working on. Your diagram shows six fuses, including one for the horn (not sure if that's inline or on the panel) and one for the cigarette lighter (we don't have a cig lighter; maybe the PO removed it). You mention a blank (unlabeled) fuse--I wonder if that matches up with the fuse I've colored red in the 85-86 diagram... what the heck is that fuse? Steve |

Steve,
The 82's, 83's and 84's all had five fuses. Not sure on the order ( I can take a picture of mine if it would help)but you shold have Horn, Pump, Lights, Blower, and one that was blank. Not sure on the fuse rating either. I will look and see what I am running. |

Thank you for posting that diagram, Don. It looks like a few changes were made from '83 to '84. I've got the five fuses, probably with a separate anchor light fuse (haven't had time to check it yet).
Does anyone know if the fuse ratings I listed above are correct? Thanks. Steve |

Over in the reference section, there is a "1985-86 Ski Nautique Dash Wiring Diagram", excerpt below. There are also diagrams for 1987, and for 1988-89.
Questions: 1. Does anyone have the dash wirig diagram for earlier years? I'm looking for the diagram for a 1984 SN2001. 2. The 85-86 diagram below shows "pump auto" and "pump manual"... what are these? I don't think our '84 has the auto and manual, just one automatic bilge pump that has a test switch on it if you want to trigger it manually. (I can't read all of our fuse labels on the dash and am trying to figure out what's what.) 3. In the diagram below, what is the red 10A fuse for? I don't think we have all the fuses shown in the 85-86 diagram. From what we can read, our 1984 has the following, top to bottom. They seem to have the wrong fuse sizes, too, so I'm listing the fuse sizes per the 85-86 diagram--are these correct? Nav Lights -- 10A? (blank) -- what is this, Anchor Light? -- 10A? Pump -- 2A? Blower -- 6A? Ignition -- 20A? With only one pump (as compared to two for the 85-86), by process of elimination, maybe the second fuse is for the Anchor Light? Thanks. Steve |
