Not knowing anything about the hatch or year model you are working with, I would test the lift (hatch actuator) by applying 12v directly to the lift. If the lift does not move, then you know the lift is faulty and the wiring is probably good. If the lift moves, then simply trace the wiring back to ground AND switch/12V with a meter until you find the break. Good luck.

My buddy has a 96 Super Sport with the one piece rear deck and the hatch actuator is not working. I have tried everything i know to do but its very hard without a wiring diagram. So my question to all is, does anyone have a wiring diagram or has gone through the same issue and how did you fix it?
