never a good idea to think of New Yorkers as any kind of bunch, too big of a difference between the Manhattan types and the cow country types such as myself...

I am glad I found the windshield too, they kind of get in the way when you have people piled in for skiing but, the late night trips back from the restaurant at the end of the lake will be much more enjoyable without the 45 mph wind in the face.

I've always thought of New Yorkers as a patient bunch. LOL Glad you found the windshield and I'd definitely like to see how it looks when completed. BKH

I guess a little patience and perservance is all I needed. Got a hold of gail, she sent me a one page pdf to order from and now they are making me a windshield. For those that may come after me, the one I ordered is a Sportshield model 5615, it will take about three weeks for them to make and cost 261.00 including all seals and mounting hardware.. before shipping. It is 15 inches tall and fits a wing tip width of 54 to 57 inches. I will try to remember to come back to this post and add a picture when it comes and I install it. I will also email the one page pdf that shows the various replacement plexiglass windshields that taylormade still makes and the prices to keith and ask if he can add them to the reference section.
Thanks for the responses.

joe,
I had checked with taylormade last year when I thought I was going to have to replace the windshield on my 64 and found them very helpful. They looked it up and said they had a "replacement" available. I think it came with everything.. metaltrim ,rubber seal, etc.

I had no trouble getting in touch with them...maybe its "off-season" yet?

Thanks for the responses so far guys,
I have left 2 voice messages a month apart for Gail Mae at this point with no callback. I am hopeing if I can get a part number or some more information perhaps someone else than I can get on the phone there will be able to do better than tell me they don't windshields for boats that old. I suppose if all else fails I can just keep calling and wait for gail to actually answer in person...

Joe,

I bought a windshield from Taylor Made...I am extremely pleased with it. I have it on a 67 Mustang. I would be glad to send pictures to show you how it looks. Mine is somewhat shorter than the original which, in my opinion, gives it a sleeker, sportier look than the tall windshield. I'll have to look and see if I can find the specific model number. I found them very helpful. One of the earlier posts gave a name to contact for help.

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen,
I need a Windshield for my 1967 Mustang, new, used original equipment, used not original but will fit, plexiglas, glass, I really don't care, this boat will look like an old correct craft when I am done but I am not going for completely original. I have read all the previous windshield posts, and on that basis contacted Taylormade a couple of times only to be given the run around or not have my phone calls returned. I am looking for someone that has actually gone that route succesfully and has a part number that they bought and worked for them, or I wouldn't be adverse to someone coming up with a different source or offering to sell me one. Just to be clear I have no frame, no seals, no plexiglass, nothing at this point to work from, if you have done this successfully on this era boat let me know what your solution was.
