By what I understand- yes it's the heavier flywheel. This is what balances the crank in this Odd-Fire Motor design. OOPS! Went back and added the final pics to the 1-BBL install... must've forgot to add those |

I drove mine through the world famous Rubicon when I was 18 years old...off road is where the V6 shines.

Bruce, Yup, you are correct that the 225 was a GM engine. I had one of my senior moments when I stated "Mopar"! Googling the 225 comes up with some great history especially a couple changes made with the firing order. They were trying to smooth out the engine. The one I had (my dads) in the Jeepster seemed fine but back then I was just a "kid" (16} and didn't know the difference! It was a commander convertable. I remember plenty of off road miles I put in on that Jeep! |

I'm a Willys fan, grew up with them towing CC's. No doubt I'd LOVE to find a Jeep with the 225

Those 225's had quite a history. Mopar then jeep and finally a Chris Craft marine. They were fantastic engine. I know they even went through several firing order changes as well. I too had one is a Jeepster. Yup, great engine.

Great motors, unique sound, had one in a 69 Jeepster ran 90mph with the little V6. Do the marine versions have the 80pound flywheel? It makes the motor almost unstoppable once you get that flywheel spinning

Just a few PICS of the re-install of the OEM 1 BBL Carb and Intake back on OOPS! I thought I needed a 2-BBL Carb and Intake on the old girl- but it just drank more fuel. Did nothing for performance. GPS at 40 MPH with Reid Pinkham in the back .
