I showed the pic of a very well dressed Tique to Kaycee and she just rolled her eyes and walked away.... I think the romance is over.... Ha! Good luck keeping him calm as I've been down that road! John |

I think there's a joke here that involves a hotdog and a hallway but I can't remember specifics. Glad to hear Tique is headed back to full strength! |

No kidding Zach, flipping the camera at that pic would have had Timmy standing there looking like Doogie Howser at the Oscars.

Steve gave me insight when we were dealing with Sadie this last spring. Thanks to him for that.
Tique is on of the cooler dogs I know, also evident by his fashion sense (don't let Tim fool you Sara didn't do that). |

Lol, that old guy you know must be one stylish dude, Andy.
Thanks for the well wishes, Tique should be 6 weeks post-op and just starting to resume light activity when we get down to White Lake in April... He will be happy to accept all "get well soon" gifts in the form of snacks, ha. Looking forward to hanging with our CCFan buds... And maybe even (selfishly) get an evaluation of Tique's progress from Dr Steve. |

That's exactly it, Alan!
All Sara's doing, Bruce- but he's always a good sport. Tom, Tique is only 4 and is very active, the repair we're going forward with should get him back to 100%. The other methods sound like great options for dogs that are a little smaller, or a bit older. Heck, he doesn't even want to slow down right now and he's a glorified tripod |

He's a good dog to let you dress him up, then pose for the picture. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Our lab recently tore her ACL and was expecting surgery for her. I had some concerns about the recovery time and stress on her from surgery and because of her hip problems. Our vet recommended a series of laser treatments. Supposedly she will be able to do most of her normal activities once the treatment is done, but will have some limited function (not an issue as she is getting up in years) This is a three month process. We are two months into it and she is doing pretty well. She would be doing great but she tweaked it jumping into the car ( something she did when we were not watching her). Not sure if this treatment may be an option for Tique but thought I would mention it.
I agree this is a great site which people have gone out of their way to help me. I agree th |

One of our first Rotweillers tore the left and then a year later tore the right one. These big dogs just don't know how to play easy. He recovered from both just fine and that was quite a while ago so I'm sure the procedures are even more advanced now. Our biggest problem with his recovery was that our bedroom was on the second floor and we had to fence the stairs off so he wouldn't try to climb up. Our 130lb viscious guard dog cried like a baby until Dana went down to sleep on the couch with him, LOL Tique's plenty young enough he'll be diving off the stone wall chasing tennis balls in no time.
As for our friend Air206, Steve and Val always seem to pop up when you need them. So many here share our 4 legged companions with the group it sure is nice to have some trusted advice when things go wrong. This is one of those strange sites that is so much more than what it appears, We've made some amazing lifelong friendships on this site haven't we? |

Mark, sounds similar to our plan (TPLO) based on our vet's feedback and Steve's recommendation. A bit has changed since our last lab did the same thing 12-13 years ago... Technology is a very cool thing. We never pegged Tique for an athlete but he does love his tennis ball and swimming. The deep snow might not have helped this winter but it probably was only a matter of time regardless.
Peter, I will forward the question on to Sara as she is the fashion consultant, though his outfit does look a bit familiar... |
