Considering how fat off the taper fit was, I suggest checking with the Prussian blue again.

After using the compound again, the prop bore has a smooth lapped finish through the entire length.

What does the inside of the prop bore look like? You want at least 80 % of the ID to clean up.

Keep going! Notice the real high spot at the forward end of the taper. The blue should be even fore to aft. I also recommend some finer lapping compound.

ACME 540 on a '82SN.
Picture taken after 20 turns of valve compound.
I'm seeing the rotation marks along the entire taper length, but it seems to be a little darker near the end. This is my first time fitting a prop so I want to make sure it's done correctly. Do I need a few more rotations with the compound or is it ok?
