Yeah, they say most folks end up just buying the hot sauce by the gallon they like it so well. All the big box people are starting to carry it now so I am anxious to give it a try.
I wanted to stay away from Babes because everyone knows it and you can buy it anywhere basically. |

I use the Boat Bling Hot Sauce and stopped using Babe's. It's like Babe's Spot Solver and Boat Bright in one application. |

We are bringing in a product called boat bling. I will let you know how it works. They are in the process of becoming a Nautique approved piece.

Vinylex. Spray it on, wipe it off. Wait about 10 minutes and buff the vinyl with a clean dry cloth. Has a higher SPF value than 303 last time I checked. I have been using it for years.

Thanks Mike! Followed your links for the cleaner and protectant, only down side is they want $15 just for shipping on a $19 purchase, ouch. No luck finding a local supplier.

The best cleaner I have found is from http://www.driventoperfection.com/ the MultiSurface Cleaner Concentrate is a concentrate and makes about a gallon. For wax and polish I use products from www.poorboysworld.com and for metal Flitz is the best I have found.

I used 303 for years until I was told about Majestic Poly Protectant. It has a little more shine and lasts longer. Spray it on let it sit a few minutes then buff with a dry towel. Best part is you buy it direct for 19 dollars a gal.

I buy 303 on ebay, free shipping. I get the large spray bottle. I apply it everyday before I go to the lake.

Just curious, how often do you guy's do this treatment? My century interior is maybe 30 years old and needs some rejuvenation, but my southwind interior (indy covers Indianapolis awesome work for anyone up that way) is maybe 10 years old and looks brand new. I just give it the once-over twice a year with vinyl cleaner and that does the trick, but I'd like it to look new forever. Annual treatment with one of the products above, or more often for maximum life?

The quantity of girls to block the sun does vary! One of the raised on butter fat Wisconsin girls would be enough for Larry. |

After trying misc soaps years ago and drying out my first interior I did some reading and switched to Murphy's Oil Soap. It leaves the seat soft and supple. I sold our Malibu with 800 hours on it and 24 years of age with most of the original interior still in it. I don't know if it protects but it cleans and does not seem to damage anything and the seats feel good after the cleaning, not dry, not slippery.
I take a gallon bucket, put warm water in filled to about 1/2 gallon, add a couple capful's of Murphy's Oil Soap, mix it up and wash the interior like I was washing the exterior paint on a car. I make sure the mix gets to all the seams and try and leave the threads wet. I don't rinse it off, I let it dry for a while, 15 minutes or so and give it a quick wipe with a dry clean towel and it is done. A $5. bottle can last a very long time. Our climate is very warm and dry, I can't say how it would work in the humid area's of the country. |

Is kind of funny that if its so good, why isn't it distributed more.. Must be the special "aerospace" formula, kept in small qty, harder to find ,means its more expensive ??? ehmm.. Who knows, but it its a few dollars more and it saves me from buying a $5K interior in short order, I'll keep using it. My 211 is going on 10 years old and the interior is as close to perfect as you can get. I'm not askin why at this point...
And it only get super slick if you don't take off the excess, IMO, which you're supposed to do... |

Hey it was 73 here yesterday! I've seen it at plenty of local marinas including West. I have not bothered looking at the auto stores, and I guess I won't be.
I think your part of your point might have been; what makes 303 aerospace protectant so special and is there an clever alternative? I don't know of any, as far as a protectant goes. I still haven't gotten an answer on acceptable "soap" yet! |

I bought some 303 once. I didn't like it for seats. It made the seats slicker than snot on a doorknob. So, I thought, if this stuff is SO slick, wonder what it would do to the bottom?
Sprayed the bottom with it, made the boat go 3mph faster BUT if the boat is not tied or chained to the trailer, it would have slid right off of the trailer ! So now I don't use any vinyl protectant. |

Well Pete, since you asked.... It was a nice day today and I wanted to get out at lunch. (you know what nice days are, right? You have two or three of them a year) The three stores are right up the road, you can practically swing a dead cat and hit all three. So, no, really not too much effort there. I was hoping on an alternative to amazon, because amazon = a few day delay and postage. I checked, and supposedly, White Lake has it, so I thought it could wait till then. Then I went back to amazon. Ok, $9 instead of $14, plus about $4 in postage, so I'm ahead there, and I have it by the 23rd-ish instead of April 18. So yeah, long story even painfully longer, amazon ended up being the answer. |

Is ordering from Amazon actually harder than driving around to 3 different stores? You don't even need F12.

Most on here prescribe Aerospace 303 for seat treatment. I cant find any at local stores, tried 3. Is it that much better than the competition that it is worth ordering from Amazon, or whatever? I know people say Armorall should be avoided; what about some of the others, like Maguires or Mothers? Can there be THAT much difference.
