Hi Paul,
I have recently acquired a 1964 Tahoe. Could use a bit of info/pics you might be able to help with. My boat is missing the shift knob and vent window clips. Saw you are looking for them also. Do you have any info on what my missing parts even look like. Might make my search a little easier if I know what I'm trying to find. Thanks, Jim |

The boat is red and white it has crazing on the deck. I am not going to re gel coat this year its not that bad . However I will be taking all the chrome in that needs to be re done in the fall and Re gel coat it in the fall . I have to make an appointment with the guy I want to do it and he wont have time till then . I have had the boat for about 17 years I used it but a couple seasons the motor was so tired I put it in storage and went with the 63 Atom Skier Deluxe that I still have . When this one is done It will be a trailer queen. Not going to post any pic just yet I want to get it back together. The steering is drum and cable the atom skier that I have is steering box and rod. I am from Detroit area where you can still find just about anything . I even found the original dealer red plastic numbers and letters for hull registration identification. I had to buy 800 of them but it was only 30 bucks. The guy had to sell the whole collection or nothing . They were manufactured in florida in the 60s. So I just left another place and found a guy who can get me a cable. Apparently its not just the cable its the cable and drum with only re using the column. The guy is a old timer and knows his stuff and how to get it. This Tahoe is a early 63 and does not have the raised portion on the bow . It is the exact boat that is in the original advertisement to can look up on line. Thanks for your interest |

Paul,
It's great to hear you are doing a true restoration. I'd be surprised but have been wrong, that you still have the automotive surplus helm that uses the 1/2" pipe to the tiller arm. Pictures would help. Fantastic that you have the nav lights. They are hard to come by especially the Starflight bow light. How's the hull and gel? Please, no paint! We'd still love some pictures!
Are you looking for a spare? |

If it has the Big T type of helm, it takes a Teleflex cable, I believe a 16 footer. That age of boat could have the old style helm that uses a pipe if the gear box for the steering is below the kickboard.

There are no marking that I could find on the steering cable. I could replace it with new but then I would have to change the steering gear and probably not be able to use the factory steering wheel |

Interior will be exactly as factory with the exception of the flooring . I Also need the vent window clips or some really good pics of them so I can re produce them. Paul,
How about some pictures? Are you doing a true restoration to the Tahoe? Do you have the cable? Is it marked? |
