Jody at Florida Inboards did a great job on my boat I could not be happier with my service. He definitely knows my boat and that's exactly what I was looking for in a mechanic. He hooked me up with getting my boat in great shape for the summer.

Jason,
If you are indeed looking for someone who is familiar with your boat and motor, than you can not find better than Jody. He use to help design, build and test these boats at the Orlando factory. He now repairs, rebuilds and races these and other hydro boats. He is also a professional driver for Team Nautique Ski Team. He knows what these boats need to perform properly. However, he is not as good looking as me, but who is? JMO, Donald. |

Hobby Boats can be expensive when the hobbyist is limited on their own skill and expertise.

Most guys here are going to push you towards doing it yourself over taking it to a dealer.
Although you do happen to be pretty close to Florida Inboards (Jody) in Panama City FL, who is active on this site. |

I just purchased a 2000 Pro Air Nautique with a PRO BOSS GT-40 motor. The digital gauges don't work which is common I believe on these models. I would like to change to analog. The conversion kit is available and doesn't look that hard to install. My boat needs a good tune up and I may choose to let them handle the install. Can I get any recommendations on a shop? I live on MS Gulf Coast and the closest dealer seems to be in Dothan Alabama about 250 miles away. I can travel that far but I want someone who knows this motor and boat.
