paul, it's not that hard to sort out. Basicly there are two types of manifold systems, on one the water pass thru the mounting flange on the other it doesn't.

On the sytle you have which sounds like it doesn't pass thru the mounting you have more hoses. The water will tee at the t-stat housing feeding both sides. Then you have one hose that attaches to the manifold and there is another that feeds the riser/elbow from an outlet on the manifold, somtimes it's on the front of the mainfolds other times it's by the flange or mounting interface. So basicly you have an inlet and outlet on the manifold and a inlet only on the elbow/risers then it dumps into the exhaust hose and out the transom.

Hey Paul,
Check out the reference section on this site. I think there is a manuel for a 67 Chrysler that should show the water flow and hookups. If you don't have luck with that, let me know, I've got a 68 manuel and I could send you a copy of that section.

Hello Everyone...

I recently purchased a '68 Mustang with a 318 Chrysler. The man I bought it from didn't winterize it one year and cracked the manifolds. He had the engine professionally rebuilt. I bought it as is, still needing the manifolds installed. I bought them with the elbows. I started to install them when I discovered extra hoses. Here is where the question ocmes in. Do hoses go to the elbows AND the manifolds? What is with the copper tube? Is there a copper tube for BOTH manifolds? Does anyone have some pictures to send so that I can see what the correct installation looks like? Do the end caps get plugs or hoses attached?

PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks for any help you can give,
Paul
