I have an original seat base from an '86 SN for sale that I reconditioned and strengthened with 8 layers of fiberglass. It is now rock solid and won't crack or break no matter what amount of abuse you throw at it. The base is primed and ready for paint. I opted to forgo any filler on the outer lip where the base meets the floor so there are some slight irregularities in that area (pictured), but it shouldn't be noticeable once it's painted and mounted. $50 + shipping.
