Those are nice pockets.

I could use those on the side of the boat that doesn't have the "wakeboard ski rack".

I didn't think I would like mine in the 85 but turns out I love them. They are just the right size for spent beer cans or bottles ha.

Is that a fire extinguisher in your pocket, or are you just happy . . . . .

That looks great! Very clean and functional, and looks like it belongs.

I have been thinking about adding a side pocket to my ski tique....

How is the front support bracket secured to the inside of the boat?

Very nice and well thought out mod. I love that boat more and more every time I see new pix.

You're a bad influence, Al. Now I'm having evil thoughts about how to utilize my space more effectively...

I really like the look of those. You can really see the amount of space you have in the last picture compared to the first picture, where you don't see it that good.

Ahhh, I see it now. Couldn't quite make it out in the first pic. That does buy some of the space back that the original design wastes.

Yes, they went all the way to the floor, hiding 3 to 4 inches of useable and much needed space.   I removed the 3 shelf braces that were behind the panel and added one angle brace toward the front. Cut down the panel leaving the last 14" so it would look and function right at the rear fuel tank panel.
Now you can stuff a boom or the dreaded ext. pylon under the shelf with much less toe stubbing. Did both sides, didn't have any port side pics.

I assumed that they originally came all the way down to the floor? Now there's a little bit of extra width underneath them?

I can't tell what I'm looking at? Care to explain or post more pics from additional angles?

I've always found the pockets to take up too much floor space and we removed the one in our '80... But these boats sure do lack storage. Curious what you came up with.

Sometimes function takes precident over originality. It makes good sense, nice job.

Most serious skiers just removed them entirely.   But, I like and use them. So, here's what I did to gain floor space while retaining the pockets.
