I have two prop pullers, one works great on the 3 blade props but will not fit to remove a 4 blade. If needed I can go get model numbers or brands off them.
The older is a brass unit and will not fit between the blades to try and remove a 4 blade.
it only fits on the three blade props so there are unique prop pullers available.
My newer prop puller came new with the OJ prop in a kit box and was in our boat when I purchased it.. It works well with the 4 blades either Acme or OJ.

Lol, I didn't notice where I posted it until the thread was in full swing.

I are dumb lately, I need some time out of the office to enjoy my boat and let my brain relax.

Apparently I'm not the only one having trouble fitting an Acme puller between [low] pitch OJs.

A prop puller for a 4 blade prop should work for the 3 blade as well. A prop puller for a 3 blade prop, may not work on a 4 blade. If the puller is too wide, it won't fit between the blades of the 4 blade prop. BKH

^Tim, you even posted in this thread.

I changed my prop a couple weeks ago with no problems - went from an oj 14 x 18 to an OJ 14.25 x 14. When pulling the 14 x 18 the acme prop puller that I used fit through the blades of the prop fine and straight on to the end of the shaft, and the prop popped off with very little pressure.

With the new 14.25 x 14, the prop puller doesn't fit straight onto the end of the shaft due to the size and pitch of the blades.

ANYWAY, this is all irrelevant for Trey. That 13x14 sold on eBay.

Don't have a pic handy but the puller came with their kit/bag. I can measure the thickness later in the week. Unfortunately that 4bld 13x14 Legend is gone now. Not talking XMP and it would have to be awfully fat not to work on a 3 blade!

Anyone try an Acme puller on a 4bld 13x13 Legend? swatkinz??

And the 14x18. And various 13x15.5 xmp's. And the 3-blade legends in various sizes too.

I'd like to see a pic of your puller that didn't work- maybe a different version than mine?

Tim says it worked on his 13x16s.

I remember you saying that.

I think there is an Acme puller at the lakehouse from the moomba down the street but I wanted juan specifically for the OJ on my boat and the one I bought from ya. I had one that came with my boat and it has vanished. Story of my life.

Well, the puller I had has now vanished. We are going to be on the road with the boat the last few weeks of this month and I'd like to have a puller with us.

Anybody have one they'd like to sell? Or point me in the direction of a reasonable place to pick one up.

Thanks
