took the velvet drive out last weekend and cleaned the pump up and replaced the front seal, installed it back into the boat and works perfect with no leaks. Thank you

Jeff, You have already asked the same question a couple days ago in this post Keeping the same topic in the same thread would be helpful. New 302! What rotation? Is the pump on the Velvet indexed for the proper rotation? |

Hi i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what i should do. I have a borg warner model as1-71c with 1 to 1 ratio. It is leaking fluid out the front seal. I have never had this out on the lake since i got it and i know it has been sitting for at least 3 years so dont know how it performs. Before i pull it out would it be best to put it in the water and see how it shifts if it does? or should i just assume it does and pull it out and put a front seal in it? or just get it rebuilt? Just installed a brand new ford 302 in it and all new upholstery.. any help is greatly appreciated, thank you
