Running into a problem. For the life of me I cannot find Zach's email address. Anyone have it on hand?

Thanks guys. Won't know if the crank has/doesn't have wick lines in it until I pull the motor out at the end of the season. Thanks for the heads up though... Going to email Zach @ N3 and check summit racing while waiting for a response.

Agree with Tim. If the seal in question has wick lines then it may be a newer 1-piece seal and the block/crank may be newer (83+). 1-piece seal blocks have the wick lines in the seal and the cranks are smooth... Opposite for the 2-piece style.

Two piece seal has no wick lines, the crank has the wick lines. You can buy a marine seal, open it up and it will have the same ford number stamped in it as the one you could get from napa. Bought one from skidim back in '98, different package, same part.

I have in the past used a quality automotive set with no trouble,at least in fresh water. But Felpro makes marine sets now too. You can check them out at Summit Racing. I like the newer style of silicon gaskets used on the valve covers and oil pans rather than the older style of cork ones.

Should be a two piece seal, just go to NAPA and get one, about $15.

Hey Folks,
Well, my engine is leaking oil. Primarily from the rear main seal. I plan on using the boat for the rest of the season and pulling the motor in the fall and going through it over the winter. I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for a complete engine gasket kit or a place to find them individually? It is a 1976 Pleasure craft Marine 351 used in the same year Ski Nautique. I'd appreciate any input you can provide. Thanks guys, Steve Berard East Waterboro, ME |
