@Donald80SN Donald, thanks for selling me the gauges. I'm all "set".

@8122PBrainard Pete, Thanks for the advice. I started a new thread in the Engine section in case someone in the future is searching the same issue. While searching old threads, I found a very helpful link you posted on Teleflex sender diagnostics. It is included in my new topic.

Jay,

I got your e-mail. I went from Church and then to the lake all day today. I will get you some pictures to your e-mail soon.

Jay,
Make sure all your connections are clean and tight. The sender should be a 33 to 240 Ohm and should match the gauge. You should get the 33 when the gauge is reading minimum and the 240 when maximum. The ohms are pretty linear to the scale on the gauge. You need to disconnect the sender wire between taking the Onms and reading the gauge. It's great you have the IR thermometer since you can use it when testing as well. Also make sure you have a clean 12 volt nominal to the gauge.

Pete,

I looked at Miami Ski Nautique and Great Lakes Skipper too. I'm not thrilled with the looks of the White Lake Speedo/Tach replacement set so I haven't replaced those. Just rely on my Perfect Pass

These old Teleflex gauges have 6 pin Deutsche type connectors. So in my limited search I have not found a lot of 6 pin gauges.

This week the gauge was bouncing up to 180 degrees, IR temp gun shows normal temps. I removed and reset the 6 pin clip on the back of the gauge. I removed the wire from the sender and replaced it tightly. Some times the gauge needle will stay at 160 when engine is off and all power is switched off at toggle.

Today the gauge was working for a bit at 140 to 160 before jumping up to 240.

I imagine it is a bad gauge but guess the sender could be bad. How do I test? I have a multimeter but it is smarter than I am.

Jay,
Have you looked anyplace else besides White Lake? Have you done any testing to confirm the gauge is bad?

If the gauge is bad and things don't work out with Donald, you could always paint the bezel to match.

Jay,

I have what you need. I picked up a 2002 Sport Nautique a few months ago that was kept inside. The Teleflex gauges are in mint condition with only 217 hours on them. The previous owner went ahead and did the gauge upgrade before it was necessary. The gauges were fully functional when the previous owner pulled them. When I bought the boat, it came with the OEM gauges.   Send me a e-mail at tilley166@bellsouth.net and I can send you some pictures of the

temp gauge.

Looking for a temperature gauge for a 2002 Ski Nautique Ltd. Teleflex with 6 pin connector. black face and silver bezel.

Nautique parts has a replacement with chrome bezel that will not match my other gauges.

Maybe someone replaced their gauge cluster and has a few old ones left.

Thanks
