No going north of the Mason-Dixon line for this guy. I am sure that Gary could handle any needed home visits. Plus I am sure that Pete understands our 'over the net' instructions.

I have to 2nd Gary's suggestion Pete. But in case of power/generator failure I would always keep an 'old fashioned' plug in phone in the closet. Just plug in that ole rotary dial phone and you are linked to the outside world.

I'll bet John is about as close as he's going to get to the cold. One thing to think about Pete, like for instance in the house is to put in one jack, say in the kitchen and then get one of those cordless masters. Then you get cordless extensions where you need them. Less wire, less jacks, less potentional trouble. The new ones connect to your cell phones with blue tooth too and you can have as many as you want with no ringing issues.

It sure would be a pleasure but I wouldn't want nor expect John to travel to a colder climate. I know very well how much he's enjoying the Florida living. He did his time splicing millions of wires together farther north!! Besides, I'm ready to handle another wiring job.

I had wired my old house using a terminal block and wire that a bell employee criticized me telling me it wasn't the proper method. (it worked for 30 years!!) Wanting to do a proper job on the new hose, I PM'd Gary (garys) and John (jbear) asking for advice about the wire and the customer (inside) termination. What shows up in the mail today?? A complete punch down block AND the punch down toll!!
Thanks Gary!
