Reverse Rotation long blocks are going to be more $$ than normal long blocks that Summit, Jegs, and even Ford advertise. If you are capable of doing the assembly work yourself then I would go the route of rebuilding. Takes a few special tools like a torque wrench, some pullers, and a few other tools. All the head work and block work can be performed at your local engine shops. I would find a good friend that is a gear head and let him supervise you if you are not knowledgeable. Plus you will pick up a lot of experience that you can use later.

i have a 78 ski tique i have owned for 35 years the engine has 1200 hours on it and is losing oil pressure my question is would it be more cost effective to rebuild or buy a reman longblock the motor is a 302 reverse rotation ford. do any of you guys know of the best company to buy the remaned longblock. thanks
