I did replace the original due to loping idle. Replacing did improve idle and low RPM operation. I know this part is available at any auto parts store but Motorcraft is usually higher quality. The original lasted over 20 years in the marine environment.

FYI...
The OEM ISC (Idle speed control) as PCM called it was Ford part no. E9SE-9f715-EB which was superseded by Ford #E9SZ-9F715-EA. (Ford references this part as a IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) The current Ford Motorcraft exact replacement part is CX-1826. Cost is $66.75 avaliable at any Ford dealer. |
