Now that's something I haven't thought of.

I have a mystery water leak:
I can't find it. If I take my boat out for a spin and look at all of the engine piping and hoses, including exhaust, I see no leaks. I park the boat and go out the next 2 days, I manually remove about 8 gals. of water each day. If I leave for a couple of days after emptying twice, the bilge has taken on no new water. The shaft and rudder packing so are new, the shaft drips a little, but no way 8 gals. overnight. It's like the engine block is draining but there is no leak I can find. Freeze plugs are good. Motor runs 160 degrees underway.
If it were exhaust hoses near transom, wouldn't they leak always, since they are below the waterline?
