The floor should all be screwed down first, covered with fiberglass etc., then the carpet glued to it. One exception is the area right behind the motor. That is usually a removable area to access the running gear. Did that one come from ebay? I saw one listed on there that was decribed that way.

I hope someone can help my friend out! He has just bought a 1984 SN and it came with all new flooring not screwed down and all new interior not screwed down either. The person he bought it from allready has the carpet glued to the floor boards before its screwed down. That didn't sound correct to me that the carpet would be down before the wood is in place! Can anyone answer if that is correct and were you screw the wood to once reinstalling. Thanks!
